Overview of the Fisher-Price Fun 2 Learn Computer Cool School Software

You might be too cool for school, but your kids aren't. The more out-of-school education your kids receive, the better. The Fisher-Price Fun-2-Learn Computer Cool School Software is basically an educational suite of computer games for kids. The Cool School Computer Software includes 5 educational games - reading & writing, math, music, art and science. But we haven't gotten to the best part...

It's all brought together with a Sesame Street theme! Whether your kid likes his math teacher or not, we're willing to bet that he's far more interested to hear what Elmo has to stay about addition. From Big Bird to the Cookie Monster himself, your child's favorite Sesame Street characters will be in each Cool School learning center to help him learn, play and grow.

Learning, Interactive and Fun-2-Learn? Yes!

The Fisher-Price Cool School Computer Software isn't just a point-and-click experience that gets boring pretty quick for the young ones. It draws your child's attention by making use of a provided keyboard, interactive tablet with a stylus and one button that enables your child to access any of the learning activities. The hardware is colorful, durable and most of all... it works!

The tablet really steals the show as far as the hardware is concerned. It helps your child learn in several ways. First and foremost, it allows your child to answer the questions on the screen by writing it down onto the tablet with the stylus. The Cool School tablet acts as your child's drawing pad too - and even more, all of your children's drawings can be saved to your computer! The included stylus also improves your child's coordination, motor and writing skills. The stylus is large and can be gripped easily by any child over 3 years of age.

The Fun-2-Learn Software's keyboard isn't your traditional keyboard. While it does offer the QWERTY setup, it's large, in-charge, colorful and something that's going to attract your kid right away. Your child will have no problem pressing the buttons, as each key is evenly and graciously spaced. As previously mentioned, the Cool School keyboard is made of plastic but very durable. Unless your kid throws it on the ground and stomps on it, don't expect any issues.

Your kids will absolutely love the graphics. While learning games existed for the computer 10 years ago, the graphics were little more than blocks floating on a screen. Todays' children get to experience a lot more, especially with the graphics on the Cool School Computer Software. Elmo's red colors are vibrant, and Big Bird's yellow feathers look as if he flew onto the screen as your child's personal teacher. The objects, buildings, environments - everything is superbly designed. Your child is really going to have a great time just watching everything on the screen.

The pacing is fast enough so your child won't get bored, but not so fast your child won't learn. Each learning center the Cool School software is packed with action that moves from one lesson to another, but in a way that's designed to keep a firm grip on your child's attention. The sounds of the game go a long way to keep your child's attention to, with constant noises that always attract your child's curious eyes and ears.

Ease to Use, Easy to Secure

This Fisher-Price Cool School Computer Software is easy to install, easy to access and easy to navigate. All hardware installs via a USB cable, the the software itself installs via a CD-ROM. Once you press "Install," your computer does the rest of the work and will inform you when the program's ready to be played. Once in the game, you can set parental controls on just about everything, including volume and when your child can play the game. You can also lock down your computer when your child is on the game - which means the Cool School game is the only thing he has access to.
